To be able to help a country,
and to take part in its rescue,
it is necessary to know it,
to understand it,
to love it.

The foundation will ascertain that the investments serve mainly the sectors and populations which are in greater need, whose revenues are the lowest on the economic scale.

THE YOUNG PEOPLE

As at present, young people under 20 make up over 60% of the population. It is therefore to this group that the Foundation's effort will be directed as it is upon them that the country's future shall be dependent. It is also among this age group that the potentialities are found, the work force and the desire for training.
The young rural people are also more attracted by the cities and by the Florida coasts. This often leads them to migrate, and finally enlarge the desperate masses of the slums or risk their life into small boats to overseas.

WOMEN
It is also a fact that acting upon the women groups increases the possibilities of success of projects, and this even more that Haitian rural women occupy an important place in development, whether in the sectors of agricultural production, or commerce. The women are the base for raising good children which are the future of their country.
There is also a high demand for training among women, and the Save A Country Foundation intends to implement programs that will meet the needs of this group.

SMALL FARMERS

Small farmers often do not benefit of any financial assistance which would permit them to improve their crops.
This is for one part due to their isolation, their lack of preparation, the low level of their infrastructures, and for the other part to the absence of financial guarantee.

Save A Country Foundation's programs were created to meet the needs of these groups and bring lasting solutions to poverty through long term partnership with the poor rural areas in Haiti.
